 Russia's total production of mineral fertilizers in January-August was down by 20.7% year on year at 9.4m tonnes, the Russian statistical agency Rosstat said in a statement released on Wednesday.

    The country's output of ammonia during the eight-month period was down by 5.3% year on year at 8.4m tonnes, according to the agency.

    Russia's plastics production during the period was down by 5.8% at 2.8m tonnes, while synthetic rubber output dropped 30.9% to 593,000 tonnes, Rosstat said.
